What is Frame relay? Draw the architecture of Frame Relay?

 Frame Relay :

                            Frame relay is a kind of network technology which was established to overcome the problem to solve X.25 network architecture or model. It was developed in early 80s.

                                                It is a frame of packet switching based on the use of variable length link-layer frames. There is no network layer. It provides a stream-line capability for use over high-speed packet switched networks. It is used in place of X.25.

 Architecture of frame relay :

Frame relay provides permanent virtual circuits and switched virtual circuits. Fig-1 shows an example of a frame relay network connected to the internet in this figure, frame relay WAN is used as one link in the global internet.
