How does computer network differ fromm distributed system?


Computer Network Distributed System
The set of computers that are connected physically within other is called computer network. A Software layer above network that connects different computers is termed as distributed systems.
There is no place of middleware or any other software in computer network. Computers of the distributed system are interconnected through a software usually known as middleware.
A computer network simply links computers so that they an share files and printers. A distributed systems is a method for spreading out application processing over the computers in a network.
Does not look like a virtual uniprocessor. Distributed system lookes like a virtual uniprocessor.
User personally handle all the network management. Here, nothing has to be done explicitely, it is all automatically done by the system without the users knowledge .
EX : All types of h/w and OS are used here. EX : WWW.
